The Governor urged the new Bishops to be shepherds and not wolves, and to be more concerned about the welfare of their flock than their personal interests.

Dwelling on the topic, "the challenge of leadership in a time like this", Bishop Nwokolo recalled the Biblical story of how the Children of Israel blossomed under the leadership of Samuel and said Governor Obiano exemplifies a leader who harkens to the yearnings of his people, calling on other leaders to emulate his commitment to making lives more meaningful for the people.
One of the newly consecrated, Bishops, the Right Reverend Amah of Ogbaru Diocese, thanked God for the opportunity to serve him as a Bishop and promised that he will continue where his predecessor stopped in advancing the cause of evangelism in the Diocese.
