Governor Willie Obiano has tasked Officers and Men of the Nigeria Police Force serving in the State to be dedicated to their duties and shun sharp practices that will smear the image of the Force. 
Governor Obiano gave the charge today when he decorated some newly-promoted Police Officers attached to the State Government Hous.
Among promoted Police Officers are the Chief Security Officer to the Governor, Superintendent of Police Chinedu Aniagbaoso who was promoted to Chief Superintendent of Police and the Guard Commander at the Governor's Lodge, Amawbia, Assistant Superintendent of Police Kennedy Otti who was elevated to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police.
Also decorated by the governor was the Orderly to the Governor's Wife, Sergeant Felicia Elechi who attained the post of Inspector of Police.
Governor Obiano while performing the function, described the elevated police officers as dedicated, hardworking and team players, described their promoting as well-deserved. 
Congratulating the newly promoted policemen, the governor said their promotion is to serve as motivation to serving officers and men in the State, that if they work hard, they will be rewarded. 
In his remarks, the State Commissioner of Police, Mr Garba Umar urged the Police Officers and Men not to waver in their loyalty to authority and commitment to duty but to see the promotion as a call to be more dedicated in what they do. 
High point of the event was the decoration of the promoted officers were accompanied to the Exco Chambers by the friends and families.
