Primary And Post primary schools across the state yesterday resumed for third term academic session after the Easter holidays.

All the schools visited recorded ninety percent turnout.
Among the schools visited were Igwebuike Grammar School, Awka Community Secondary School Okpuno, Girls Secondary School Amaenyi among others.
Speaking to the ABS, the Principal Community Secondary School Ozubulu , Comrade Alloy Anigbogu, who commended Governor Willie Obiano for transforming the Education Sector, explained that the students commenced the classes with resumption test.
He encouraged the Students to take their studies seriously to enable them Pass their third term examination to be able to move on to the next class and compliment Governor Willie Obiano’s huge investments in education.
At Igwebuike Grammar School, the Principal of the school, Dr Raphael Anaekeokwu described the turnout of teachers and students in the school as quite encouraging advising the students to put in more efforts to pass the promotional exams.
Dr Anaekeokwu urged parents to encourage their Children and Wards to be regular in attendance as according to him the term is a kind of stock taking and called on teachers to be dedicated to duty.
The Principal Community Secondary School Okpuno, Lady Ifeoma Ikeotuonye confirmed that the resumption took off smoothly with a large turnout of students, reminding those who did not resume yesterday that they have lost ten marks which is part of continuous exercise of the school.
On her part, the Principal of Girls Secondary School Amaenyi, Awka, Lady Wini Ibezim, enjoined students to study harder as the term will determine whether they will move to the next class, urging them to shun acts that could mar their Carrier.
Some of the Students including Master Ebuka Chima from Igwebuike Grammar School and Miss Marycynthia Ikegwuonu of Community Secondary School, Okpuno, promised to take their studies seriously to reciprocate their parents, teachers and government’s efforts.
