The State Government is to develop a compendium of young Anambra entrepreneurs across various value-adding ventures so as to harness their creativity towards increased wealth creation and development of the State.


Governor Willie Obiano disclosed this when the Barrack Obama Leadership Fellows from Anambra State paid him a courtesy visit at the Governor's lodge, Amawbia. 
The five Obama Leadership Fellows from Anambra are the Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Mr Mark Okoye, Miss Chinenye Nnoli, Mrs Uchenna Ugwu, Engr Ifeanyi Orajaka and Mr Bryan Mezue, all between the ages of 25 to 40 and specialized in various value-adding activities. 
The Obama Leadership Forum which was founded by former US President, Barrack Obama at the end of his tenure to help identify and solve leadership problems in Africa, has a membership strength of 200 persons.
Out of the total number, 22 persons are from Nigeria and 5 from Anambra. 
Receiving the group, Governor Obiano expressed delight that Anambra Youths all over the world, are exhibiting unusual skills and talents that if properly harnessed, can help provide answers to the teething socioeconomic challenges which the State and the nation face presently. 
He said the State Government will be retaining the services of the Group to form the nucleus of the State Creative Economy Team.
He charged the group to expand the dragnet to capture all Anambra entrepreneurs, to identify societal problems and develop pragmatic modalities towards solving them, assuring them of his administration's support. 
Governor Obiano encouraged Anambra Youths all over the world to be proud and showcase their god-given talents anywhere they find themselves with confidence and the right attitude.
The Commissioner for Economic Planning, Mr Okoye said that the Forum was conceived by Former President Obama to address the challenge of bad leadership which has been identified as the bane of Africa's development. 
He noted that the Obiano administration is blazing the trail by keying into the positive global trend of effectively involving youths in governance, adding that the quotient which Anambra contributes to the Forum's membership is testament to the abundant intellectual talents in the State and the government's efforts at giving vent to their creativity. 
Other members of the group took turns to speak on their experiences with the activities of the forum and what they do individually to add value to the society that gained them the Forum's membership.
