Governor Willie Obiano yesterday inspected construction work on Adazi Nnukwu -Neni -Nimo road.

The four point eight kilometer road was awarded last year by the Obiano administration.
During the inspection visit, it was observed that earthwork has been achieved on over two kilometer stretch from Adazi Nnukwu end while drainage have been completed on the entire road.
Bulldozers, excavators and graders were also seen trying to level a major hill to create access from the Nimo end.
Governor Obiano during the inspection directed the contractor to commence asphalting on a two kilometer stretch on the road where drains and earthwork have been achieved.
He said the road is strategic as it will not only create diversion that will ease the gridlock usually experienced at Okacha Junction Neni, Nwagu Agulu and Ezi Elias but also save Adazi Nnukwu, Nimo and Neni communities from a devastating flood that often ravage the communities.
Governor Obiano commended the contractor for a good job and promised that he will continue to release funds to ensure that the project is delivered on time.
The site Engineer of the firm handling the project, Mrs Mercy Jackson thanked the Governor for his support and assured that they will deliver a quality project.
