The State House of Assembly has passed a resolution congratulating the wife of the state Governor, Chief Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano on the prestigious Zik’s Prize Award given to her for her humanitarian services to the needy in the state.

The House passed the resolution following a motion sponsored to that effect by the member representing Orumba South Constituency, Princess Nikky Ugochukwu during yesterday’s plenary.
Moving the motion, Princess Nikky described the award as a confirmation of Mrs. Obiano humanitarian service to the downtrodden in the society, stressing that Mrs. Obiano deserved the award in view of the fact that she has empowered over three thousand physically challenged persons and widows in different skills.
On his part, the member representing Anambra East Constituency Chief Obinna Emeneka expressed joy that Chief Mrs. Obiano has demonstrated that she is a mother filled with the milk of human kindness by impacting positively on the lives of the needy in the state.
In their separate speeches, the Chief Whip, Chief Lawrence Ezeudu, the member representing Njikoka Two Constituency, Dr. Peter Ibida, his Ayamelum Constituency counterpart, Mr. Uchenna Okafor and the member representing Idemili South Constituency, Barrister Chuka Ezenwune noted that Mrs. Obiano has brought pride to Anambra state by winning the prize.
Others, who felicitated with the Governor’s wife on the Zik’s Prize Award given to her, were Dr. Ikechukwu Umeh representing Aguata one Constituency, his Oyi counterpart, Mrs. Vivian Okadigbo, the member representing Awka South One constituency, Dr. Nnamdi Okafor, Chief Romans Obi representing Orumba North Constituency and the member for Idemili North Constituency, Mrs. Nkoli Mmegbuanaeze.
Speaker of the House, Barrister Rita Maduagwu commended Chief Mrs. Obiano for performing exceedingly well and charged her not to relent.
