The 2018 Batch 'A' members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) sent to Ogbaru local government area have been received by the Chairman of the local government,  Hon. Arinzechukwu Awogu.
The corpers who looked excited and ready to serve  arrived the Council Secretariat and were addressed by the Council Chairman who assured them of their safety in the area and the readiness of the local government to make their stay memorable.
Hon. Awogu reminded the NYSC members of the original motive behind the setting up of the NYSC scheme which he said was to help in national bonding and assimilation of diverse backgrounds and ways of life of the people with the hope of raising a more united countrymen and women. He urged the Corpers to explore Ogbaru and the benefits therein and encouraged them to leave a footprint in their place of primary assignment such that they could be retained after service.
The Corp members were thereafter deployed to their respective areas of primary assignment, while the Chairman urged the people of Ogbaru to treat the Corpers with much love as they would expect other local government areas to treat Corpers of Ogbaru origin serving in their area.
