The traditional stool of Atani Kingdom, yesterday quaked as it played host to the Chairman of Ogbaru local government area, Hon. Arinzechukwu Awogu in what has been described in many quarters as a move that will signal the much needed brotherhood in the Kingdom.
Accompanied by Chief Afam Odogwu (Akalam), Chief Obiechina Orayelu (Odua of Odekpe), Pastor Onochie Obiora, Prince Emeka Isamade among others, saw Igwe Azuka Ngoddy receive Hon. Arinzechukwu Awogu very warmly in his Palace at about 3.13pm.
Hon. Awogu who was visiting the Palace for the first time since the coronation of Igwe Azuka Ngoddy, the Eze Ogwuike the 2nd of Atani, said that he came to seek royal blessing from Igwe Ngoddy and to inform him that one of his sons is now the Chairman of the local government.
The Council boss pledged his total commitment to rewriting history for the betterment of all and rientrated the indisputablity of peace and brotherliness among a people united under God. He opined that distance breeds distrust and was of upbeat tune that the time to bridge the gap has come. He said that he recognized the Palace as his first port of call hence, the visit and pleaded with the traditional ruler to help guide him so as to enable him do well in the new assignment, affirming that if he succeeds Atani community and indeed Ogbaru has succeeded.
Moved by the spirit of the visit, the traditional ruler of Atani, Igwe Azuka Ngoddy, the Eze Ogwuike 2nd, acknowledged that his worthy son has indeed visited the Palace and  invoked the blessings of Atani land on Hon. Arinzechukwu Awogu,  praying God to make his chairmanship the best Ogbaru has ever witnessed. Igwe Ngoddy commended the Chairman for his love for Ogbahu and commitment to duty which has earned him his new appointment.
