The National Orientation Agency, Anambra State Directorate is to expand its campaign against political thuggery, Kidnapping and drug addiction to all tertiary institutions across the state.

The State Director of the Agency, Barrister Charles Nwoji , made the statement when he led some members of the Management of the Agency on an advocacy visit to the General- Manager of Nigeria Television Authority in Awka.
Barrister Nwoji , maintained that the essence of expanding the Agency’s programme against political thuggery, kidnapping and drug addiction to schools in the state is aimed at dissuading the students from going further into drug abuse.
He further appealed to the leadership of the NTA to assist the Agency in disseminating the information on its programmes on preservation and protection of the critical infrastructures in the state, the Continuous Voter’s Registration Exercise by INEC especially now the 2019 General Elections are fast approaching as well as other security programmes of the Agency.
In her remarks while welcoming the NOA Director in her office, the General – Manger NTA, Awka, Mrs Marcellina Iheanacho , assured that she would support the Agency to achieve its mandates in the state with particular reference to information dissemination at the gressroots.
The General – Manager, who also tasked NOA to work towards dissuading the children from engaging in dangerous ventures that would consume their lives during the General Elections, underscored the importance of political and civic education in correcting the ills confronting Nigerian youths.
