Vocational studies have been described as a gift and a important empowerment that can help the youth, especially women and the girl child to contribute meaningfully to the society.

This was stated by the wife of the state Governor, Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, during the Twenty- Third Graduation and Twenty- Fifth Matriculation ceremony of El-Shaddai Institute of vocational studies, Awada, Obosi Idemili North Local Government Area.
Chief Obiano who was represented by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Agriculture, Honourable Ify Obinabo, noted that Vocational studies are part of the programmes in line with what her pet project, Caring Family Enhancement Initiative (CAFÉ) is doing in the State.
The wife of the Governor commended the staff and management of Elshaddai Institute of vocational studies for their efforts in empowering the girl child assuring that the present administration will not rest on its oars in uplifting Anambra state to an enviable height through available resources to ensure that the youths are gainfully employed.
In an address, presented by the Rector of the school, Mr Emmanuel Udegbunam, Elshaddai vocational Institute has been able to train over seven thousand, nine hundred students on various skills and explained that the school is designed to restore hope to disillusioned students who are trapped between secondary school and Universities.
The President of the school, Mrs Amaka Udegbunam, appreciated the wife of the Governor for honouring their invitation and pleaded for assistance towards alleviating the plight of the less privileged as the school has offered some of them scholarship.
The father of the day, Bishop E.C Obiorah, expressed gratitude to God for retuning Governor Willie Obiano back to power to consolidate on his achievements and prayed God for successful tenure.
