The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Anambra State, has commenced the second quarter Continuous Registration of Voters in all its offices in the twenty one local government areas and other designated centres across the State.

The exercise holds from Monday to Friday, between nine o’clock in the morning and three o’clock in the afternoon excluding weekends and public holidays.
A statement from Head, Voter Education and Publicity of the Commission in Anambra State, Mr Leo Nkedife advised Community leaders to visit INEC local government area offices to find out when its floating centre will visit their wards for registration and mobilize their people.
It called on eligible persons who have not registered, and those who have just attained the age of eighteen to visit INEC centres to get registered.
Those who have lost their Permanent Voter Cards, those whose cards are defaced or spoiled and those with incorrect spellings and those who have moved or transferred from where they registered before are equally advised to visit INEC registration centres and get their particulars transferred to their new areas.
It advised those who have registered before but have not collected their Permanent Voter Cards to visit the various INEC offices and collect theirs.
It reminded the public that it is an offence to register twice or engage in double registration adding that registration of voters is free, urging those with complaints or enquires to call the INEC Help Desk numbers 070 380 959 37 or 081 259 239 61.
