A special mass was celebrated yesterday at All Saint Catholic Church, Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area to mark the thirtieth Priestly Ordination of Very Reverend Father Theophilus Odukwe.

Very Reverend Father Odukwe who was Priested on 20th August 1987 is also the Episcopal Vicar of Dunukofia Episcopal Region.
The mass attracted many Priests, Reverend Sisters from different Parishes, Industrialists, Academia, Business Men and Women, Men of uniformed organizations, friends and well wishers who gathered to facilitate with Very Reverend Father Odukwe.
In a homely, a visiting Priest, Very Reverend Father Professor Damian Akpunonu said it is important that every child of God should go into the world to prophesize the good news of victory of Christ stating that Christ defeated death and resurrected and gave hope to his followers.
He maintained that a strong Christian should believe and trust solely in Christ which will manifest in the kind of life they live, charging them to be light unto others.
Very Reverend Father Professor Akpunonu thanked God for the life of the celebrant, stating that he is a true Priest of God who devoted all his life for the ministry, charging Priests to embark on evangelism, spreading the victorious goodness of Christ wherever they are.
Speaking shortly after the mass, Very Reverend Father Odukwu said he felt humbled and honoured, recalling how his journey to Priesthood began, appreciating God for finding him worthy to serve as a Priest.
Very Reverend Father Odukwe said the journey of Priesthood is filted with surprises and very interesting, advising younger Priests to be more committed, to trust and listen to God because as a Priest they are taking the image of Christ, praying God to give him the grace to remain committed 
In a remark, Evangelist Anthony Akunna, on-behalf of the Parish disclosed that it has been blessings upon blessings since Very Reverend Odukwe assume the post as the Parish Priest, noting that their Parish has become a pilgrimage centre as people with various life challenges visit the Parish to seek the face of God.
The mass features special rendition by the choir, thanksgiving while presentation and cutting of priestly anniversary cake formed the high point of the mass.
