Governor Willie Obiano has presented two brand new fourteen seater buses to Anambra Broadcasting Service.

The buses were presented to the management of ABS on behalf of the Governor by his Deputy, Dr Nkem Okeke.
Making the presentation through his Deputy, Governor Obiano said the gesture is consistent with his promise to transform ABS to meet international standards in broadcasting.
He noted that in keeping with the promise, his government has built digital Television and Radio studios for the ABS and cleared backlog of pension and gratuity arrears, while staff of the station are being trained to keep pace with new trends in the practice.
The Governor assured that his government will sustain the support to ABS until it attains the befitting status.
Receiving the keys to the buses, the Chairman of ABS Board of Directors, Dr Emeka Mmaduegbuna, thanked the government for its interest in repositioning the outfit and expressed the hope that the vehicles will help enhance logistics in the station.
On his part, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ABS, Nze Uche Nworah, said under his watch, the station is on cause towards achieving the mandate assigned to it to by the government and said the vehicles will help the station get to all nooks and crannies of the State.
Back at the ABS Headquarters in Awka, the vehicles were received by members of staff and management with dancing and chants of solidarity for the Governor.
