The state Chairman Christians Pilgrims welfare Board, Professor Steve Ibenta has urged Nigerian leaders to key into the patriotic disposition of the former Vice President of Nigeria, late Dr Alex Ekwueme.

Professor Ibenta in a tribute to the late Vice President, described him as an international statesman who played a decent politics devoid of corruption.
Viewing his demise as a colossal loss to the nation, the university don said the late Ekwueme as the then facilitator of the Ekwueme foundation, sponsored many Oko indigenes to United States of America and built the Polytechnic in Oko.
Professor Ibenta mentioned some other exploits of Dr. Ekwueme such as masterminding the structuring of the nation’s six geo-political zones, the setting up of the PAL Brewweries, Alustar among other companies.
