JION APGA NOW OR RISK
REELECTION
Governor Willie Obiano has urged Governors of other four
SouthEast States to join APGA or risk losing reelection.
Governor Obiano made the call during the flag off of APGA
campaign for the January 13th Anambra Central Senatorial District
bye-election held in Awka.
Government House correspondent Taeshie Benjamin was there and brings details.
Governor Obiano who noted that APGA is on move, said the
overwhelming victory the party recorded in the last governorship election in
the state is a clear signal that it is poised to take over other Southeast
States in 2019.
Stressing that there is no going back on the emancipation of the
Igbo nation, Governor Obiano maintained that it has become imperative at this time
in history for all the Igbo states to unite under one political platform to
pursue their common interest at the Centre.
According to him, APGA remains the only hope for the survival of
Ndigbo and has also through its track record of good governance in Anambra
State, proved a viable option for sustaining the country's democratic, hence
the need for the party to make in-roads to other Igbo states.
The governor therefore urged other Southeast Governors to heed
the clamor by their people for emancipation and join APGA, assuring that the
party will receive them and assist in shaping their developmental strategies
for their respective states to have greater impact on the lives of their
people.
