IGBO CHRISTIAN RESTORATION ASSEMBLY (ICRA) COMFERENCE IN AWKA

Governor Willie Obiano says his huge investment in repositioning the formative education system in the state is to avail the children not only quality education but also sound morality. The governor was speaking when he attended the 2017 national conference of the Igbo Christian Restoration Assembly, ICRA held at Emmaus House in Awka.
The conference with the theme, "restoring the glory of God in Igboland through the church", brought together men of God of Igbo extraction from all over Nigeria and the diaspora, with the knack for the interest of the Igbo nation.
Governor Obiano who noted that due to the hardship in the society, parents no longer have quality time with their children, explained that his government through the education system and the innovation it is bringing, is building a better Anambra State with morally-virile youths.
According to him, this is because his government believes God should be at the centre of its efforts.
He urged the conference to come up with documented outcomes that will help the state and the SouthEast sail through this trying period, soliciting their prayers for the state and the SouthEast region.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Assembly, Bishop Mike Okonkwo revealed that through the conference, they are raising a generation of God-fearing youths who will lead the society and bring back the glory of Ndigbo.
According to him, the recent events in the southeast have been a source of worry to them, hence their decision to invite God to take over the affairs of people of the region.
Special prayers were later said for the governor and his administration by the men of God.
